Everyone enjoys driving… at least in the younger days. Enjoys the rolling wheels of a cycle… Enjoys the grip on the handle bar… Enjoys the steering wheel … Enjoys controlling a machine….. My passion for driving began at age 5. What’s unusual about it, na?! all boys at this age will cry for a baby cycle. And my ‘passion’ also limited to that! Some 35 years back…. My first cycle was a 3 wheeler, don’t know who brought that for me! Those days in Navakode, probably it was a Ferrari and everyone was on it, except me. I remember the likes Muthuettan riding it and finally had to break. Cycle repair shops used to be a mark of ‘development’ for any localities and Navakode boasted of 2 such shops. One owned by Periya atha and other was by Basha annan. Periya atha ( Father’s elder brother, one can translate) was last word in cycle ‘technology’ and basha annan’s arrival probably threatened his realm. But he was still the Ilayaraja and arrival of Rahman could not dethrone him. For so

15 Years of Engagement... of getting into an agreement of relationship.... with a completely unknown person... a chance taking affair... a gamble... 50-50 possibilities.... Sometimes I feel, so baffled about Indian (arranged) Marriages. How come a person readies him/herself to stay the remaining life with a completey unknown person?! Uh!... Let that baffleness remain and have no time to unwind it now! Gonna celebrate the occassion anyway!

Dear All, We had a trip to Oman, last week and to tell you that in one word, it was Oh-Man!!! For me, it was revisiting my dusted memories, but for my wife and kids, a wonderful eventful enjoyable break. This trip was in our mind pending decision since many months. A string of holidays thanks to F1 race in Abu Dhabi followed by Eid Al Adha and a newly purchased Pajero fuelled our decision. And formal invitations from beloved friends played catalystic roles too. Packed up and doubly checked, ( Not to forget valid passports and vehicle registration card with insurance coverage in Oman) we set our course to Hatta , UAE-Oman Boarder on Friday 12 Nov morning at 0930 hrs, taking Hatta-Al Ain Exit from Sh.Zaid Road near JAFZA. This road leads to DIP R/A and from there staight to Dubai By Pass Road ( Jabel Ali- Lehbab Raod). Excellent roads with 3 lane dual carriage ways with speed limits of 120kmph and with runway like conditions will tempt anyone to press the gas and test the car. Hold

  നെല്ലിയാമ്പതി യാത്ര !! It was a wonderful trip to Nelliyampathy, joined by family and some great friends. Though lying at a shout away from Palakkad, I never had a chance to visit this picturesque place. I regret that, but better late than never! A cool climate, an adventorous but not so risky journey, stopovers to have a pleasing nature down the valley, driving through clouds and mist, a glimpse of active wild life, cascading water streams, huge rocky mountains.... just a few attractions. Reaching there is - through NH 47 palakkad - thrissur road, divert from Alathur, to Nenmara and from nenmara, pothundi and Nelli... Around 60 km Palakkad town. Road will look like this Hotel stay was average, but can enjoy the local food. Meen curry and Palakkadan rice! There are two popular hotels, ITL and Green park. We chose the first one. Rooms were pretty furnished including a satellite TV. keep the remote elsewhere and venture out, that'll be a better idea. Carry your own bed
